A.I.C. Njoro Town is partnering with Compassion International and is a children and youth ministry under the AIC Njoro town church.
This ministry was initiated in the year 2003 and has grown steadily to where it is today. It started with 165 children and over time the number has grown to 348 children and youths.
The centre caters for children who require alleviation from spiritual, economic, socio-emotional, and physical poverty so that they can become effective citizens. The children come from a radius of 5km from the AIC Njoro town church premises and are from various churches, denominations and religious backgrounds.
These children are recruited from the surrounding community from the age of 3years and they are developed spiritually, economically, socio-emotionally and physically up to the age of 22years when it is expected they can then stand on their own and be able to support themselves, their families and siblings.
The church has a management committee that oversees the day-today running of the ministry. The children always congregate on Saturdays and on selected days during the holidays at the church compound where the development takes place.
