A.I.C Njoro Town congregation was officially launched in 1972 with preparation done in the early 1960s with the input of Cllr. Jessee Waweru and Pastor Mathai. The foundation of the church building was laid by Rev. Andrew Wambari, former President of Africa Inland Mission-Kenya (AIM) on 9th February, 1969. The church was officially opened on 10th September 1972 by Rev. Mulwa, who was also the first Bishop of Africa Inland Church after changing from AIM. The success that the church has achieved to date was as a result of the effort put in by God’s servants who were selfless and committed to vision of the church. Although most of them are long gone, their contribution to the church is something to be reckoned.
A.I.C Njoro has also been under the leadership and guidance of different pastors. They include Rev. Benson Ngugi, Pastor Reuben Karari, Pastor Moses Njenga, Rev. Daniel Ndunda, Rev. Geoffrey Ndivo, Rev. David Ngure, Rev. Gideon Karanja, and Rev. Harun Njuguna. The input of these ministers, especially Rev. Benson Ngugi has played a fundamental role in allowing the church to be where it is today. We are truly grateful to God for the men and women who sacrificed their time, energy, and resources in pushing the church to be where it is today.
